Retail expert and friend of Wrap and Send Services Shelley E Kohan just released her list of who is doing the best job in retail this holiday season.
In her article, Kohan speaks to how she rates retailers to determine who is doing the best. Her most important rating factors include customer service, retailers that aren’t afraid to experiment, who use “design thinking” elements and those who empower what she calls “courageous leaders.”
So who won the holidays 2015?
TJX
This is the company that owns T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and Sierra Trading Post in the U.S.; Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls in Canada; and T.K. Jazz and HomeSense in Europe. Kohan states that TJX is top on her physical retail list.
“They offer ‘value product’ which is high designer profile at a low price. They have strong commitment to Black Friday while at the same time giving employees Thanksgiving off,” she said in her article.
Amazon
No surprise here. This was Kohan’s top choice for online retail. She states that, “Amazon has created the online treasure hunt mentality that includes gamification, and couples those factors with product variety and speedy delivery.”
Victoria’s Secret, Levi’s and Nike
In the brand category, Kohan identified Victoria’s Secret, Levi’s and Nike as being the best with branding and customer engagement.
