In-store and warehouse services available for the 2014 holiday season
During the holidays, in an effort to compete with online retail giants like Amazon, many brick-and-mortar stores pull their associates from the sales floor to pack and ship website or ship-to-home orders. To allow these retailers to maintain its sales staff and meet increased shipping demands, Wrap & Send Services, a luxury retail packing and shipping solution, announced its availability for professional in-store and warehouse support for the 2014 holiday season.
“In order to truly compete and retain customer loyalty, brands need to consider proper packaging, consistent company branding and timely delivery,” said Mike Jamali, president of Wrap & Send services. “Often, and especially during the holidays, store associates taxed with the additional burden of sending merchandise to customers are already busy with their usual duties, and, as a natural consequence, customer shipments are overlooked, rushed or perhaps even missed.”
During the 2013 holiday season, the Wall Street Journal reported that many physical retail locations used store associates to pack and ship both web orders and merchandise purchased in-store and shipped to the customer’s home.
“We believe that this trend will significantly increase for the 2014 holiday season as traditional retailers fight to compete with the massive online outfits,” said Jamali. “Shipping out of brick-and-mortar locations is a sound strategy, but to be successful, retailers must partner with the right professionals to achieve maximum efficiency.”
