The COVID-19 pandemic radically changed many facets of social life, with masks and hand sanitizer becoming commonplace. It even began a widespread renaissance of a long-forgotten fashion trend: the balaclava. Cloth headgear designed to expose only part of the face, balaclavas have seemingly been reintroduced to the spotlight everywhere, from drill rap videos to New York Fashion Week.
